Balikesir Cicim rugs are characteristically plain or striped, flat weave rugs which are enhanced by the addition of "third yarn" embellishment / embroidery of decorative tribal designs and motifs. This creates an appealing textured look.This rug features traditional motif design enhancement in white, red, blue, green and orange on darkblackish- brown, flatweave background. However, due to this construction method, Cicim rugs are usually one-sided and not suited for reverse use. They also benefit from the use of a non-slip rug pad or underlay to prevent movement on smooth surfaces,
