Rhino Hobby Filters are the budget version of Rhino Pro Filters- the UKs best-selling carbon filter. Theyre made in the same factory and use the same RC412 carbon as the premium Pro version.

The Rhino Hobby range offers effective odour removal at a price that is unmatched in any other comparable quality filter available in the UK - these filters are great for growers looking for a budget filter that works well for a year before upgrading if required or when finances allow.

There are three main differences between a Rhino Pro and a Rhino Hobby:

  • 1. The bed of carbon used in the Rhino Pro is 50mm, on the Rhino Hobby the bed is 30mm. This just means that the carbon will lose its action quite a bit sooner in the 30mm bed, but it will still be 100% effective during normal use.
  • 2. The Rhino Pro will work for at least 18-24 months, the Rhino Hobby only has a 9-12 month life expectancy. This simply reflects the thinner carbon bed in the Hobby as opposed to the Pro.
  • 3. The Hobby can be turned around during use to make sure that you get the most out of the carbon. In all carbon filters, the air being pulled through will go for the path of least resistance, this means that more air moves through the top part of the filter and the carbon in this area degrades quicker than the carbon at the bottom. By turning the filter at least halfway through its life span (every 3 months is better), you make better use of all of the full carbon bed, especially on the longer models.

Culinary grade matcha. Its okay for mixing in small amounts with other flavors to drink
Flavor Name: Culinary Matcha-3.53oz
I ordered this Matcha for the affordability. The matcha I’ve been drinking is more expensive and as I have been drinking more Matcha lately I wanted to try to get more for my money. Now, I don’t want to sound like a Matcha snob, but I really wasn’t happy with the quality or the taste of this Matcha. It was lower quality than I was expecting. First of all it’s a duller green color, which is just appearance I understand and I can overlook that, but it says something about the quality of the harvest. The taste, however, is much more bitter than I am accustomed to. Not an enjoyable clean Matcha flavor. I have found that it absolutely needs some sweetener and milk to make it passable and I’ve even mixed a little cocoa powder with it to mask the dusty flavor. That helps. Also, it is not ground very finely as other Matcha powders. I can feel the Matcha particulate in the tea when I drink it and it settles to the bottom of the cup very quickly. If you’re going to be cooking with Matcha, then this is fine. Or if you are going to be mixing it with milk and sweetener or other flavors, then this isn’t too bad. But if you like to enjoy the pure flavor of Matcha tea with nothing added to it then I would not recommend this one, it’s pretty harsh. Still, it is very affordable and it can get you through when money is tight.
