Valiant Miniature Kit# 9866 - Foot Knight, 1400'S. The signing, by Richard II of England and Charles VI of France, of the Treaty of Paris in 1396 was meant to end the Hundred Years' War. However, civil strife in both countries, as well as the rest of Europe, during this period, made the peace treaty a mockery. Intrigue and numerous small clashes resulted. Upon the death of Charles, in 1415, Henry VI of England laid claim to the Throne of France. On August 12 he took an army of 12,000 and invaded France. After the brilliant victory at Agincourt on October 25, 1415, the English were cautious to follow up their success, resulting in their eventual expulsion, 38 years later, from French soil. NOTE: Our illustration is of the Earl of Oxford; however, minimal research will lead you to various examples of the heraldry of this period. This item is an unpainted and unassembled white metal (lead free) hobby kits in the 54mm International collectors scale. Standing Figures in this scale measure Approximately 2-1/2" to 3". Easy install
Just installed in our bathroom. Feels solid. We have a potted plant on it now. You will want a drill bit extender to clear the shelf. I use the flexible type. Otherwise you won’t be able to get the screws in at a 90 degree angle.

Very nice, well made.
The nine-inch oak shelf is well made, and is 45 degrees. The wall where I planned to install it was not, and I suspect this is the problem some of the reviews saying the shelf was not made at 45 degrees. In my case, we removed wood a bit at a time until we achieved a good fit. We did receive all of the hardware, but beware. The plastic straight insert anchors do not snug up with the supplied screws. However we used the supplied plastic toggles with better results. The hardware is why I rate this 4 stars. Otherwise, it is a nice piece, and well worth the price.
