CEFOTAX 2 GM I V - I M 1 VIALVial contains Cefotaxime 2 gm (Third generation Cephalosporin) used for treatment of Bacteremia Septicemia, bone or joint bacterial infections, CNS bacterial infections, genitourinary bacterial infections, gynecological bacterial infections, intra abdominal bacterial infections, lower respiratory tract bacterial infections. Reduce the incidence of certain infections in patients undergoing surgical procedures. Administration: Intramuscular preparation:

Vial contains Cefotaxime 2 gm (Third-generation Cephalosporin) used for treatment of Bacteremia/Septicemia, bone or joint bacterial infections, CNS bacterial infections, genitourinary bacterial infections, gynecological bacterial infections, intra-abdominal bacterial infections, lower respiratory tract bacterial infections. Reduce the incidence of certain infections in patients undergoing surgical procedures. Administration: Intramuscular preparation: *Vial 500 mg >> Reconstitute with 2 ml of sterile water for injection or 1 % lidocaine. *Vial 1 gm >> Reconstitute with 3 ml of sterile water for injection or 1 % lidocaine. *Vial 2 gm >> Reconstitute with 5 ml of sterile water for injection or 1 % lidocaine. Note: Reconstituted solution is stable for 12 to 24 hours when refrigerated. Administration: Intravenous: Preparation: Reconstitute Vial With ≥10 ml Sterile Water For Injection. *Shake to Dissolve. May be further diluted up to 1000 ml with normal saline, Dextrose 5 %, Dextrose 10%, or Lactated Ringer. Note: Reconstituted solution in normal saline is stable for 24 hours at room temperature, 5 days when refrigerated.
