The Valentino Caffè roaster was founded in 1953 in Lecce, Italy. The company is still owned by the family. To this day, they have remained true to the artisanal principles of roasting - the beans are roasted separately, gently and slowly in a rotating drum, and then air-cooled.
You can find this coffee in many small cafés/bars in Puglia - especially in the metropolis of Lecce.
Valentino Caffè's Excelso blend is strong and has a delicious fine brown crema right out of the cup.
The 90% Arabica of the highest quality from Central and South America, combined with the 10% Robusta beans, create a unique richness and harmony. Floral hints of jasmine and hibiscus combine with fig, currant and date.
On the palate, an irresistible and delicate sweetness unfolds with hints of dark chocolate, honey and cocoa. A soft sensation on the tongue and a lingering aftertaste complete the taste experience.
