Lycoming Engine Case Splitting Tool - RentalThe Lycoming engine case splitting tool can be used on both four and six cylinder engines. It will also work on the older "Narrow Deck" and the newer "Wide Deck" engines. There are two optional plates that allow the engine to be separated without having a crankshaft installed. This Case Splitting tool will not work on the O 235 engine. We are able to provide plates for the O 235 engine if you need them. See our article in the January 2014 edition of
