De Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1962 ES-335 Reissue Sixties Cherry is een bijzonder stukje gitaargeschiedenis. In samenwerking met Gibson Custom brengt Epiphone een modeljaar terug dat geliefd is om zijn afgeronde cutaways, small block inlays en slanke SlimTaper C-hals — kenmerken die de 1962 ES-335 onderscheiden van latere en eerdere versies. De vijflaags maple/populier semi-hollow body met massief maple centerblock geeft de typische ES-335 balans tussen solidbody-stabiliteit en hollowbody-resonantie. De rosewood toets met 22 medium jumbo frets en mother of pearl small block inlays is historisch nauwkeurig tot aan de side dots.

Twee USA-made Gibson Custombucker humbuckers, handmatig bedraad met CTS-potentiometers en Black Beauty paper-in-oil condensatoren, leveren de volle, dynamische ES-335 toon die in elk genre thuishoort. De ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic brug met historische aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece en Epiphone Deluxe Double Ring tuners completeren dit instrument.
