Domaine Boingnères has long been known for producing intensely characterful Bas-Armagnacs with minimal intervention, long aging, and a deep respect for old regional methods.
Made entirely from Folle Blanche, one of the historic grapes of Armagnac, the 2007 vintage leans especially aromatic and vibrant compared to the richer, darker profile often associated with Baco-based Armagnac. Folle Blanche tends to bring higher acidity, lifted florals, and more vivid fruit character, all of which come through clearly here.
The nose opens with apricot, candied orange peel, white flowers, honey, fresh herbs, vanilla, and toasted almond, followed by subtle notes of tobacco, cedar, and baking spice as it evolves in the glass. On the palate, it’s supple yet energetic with flavors of orchard fruit, citrus marmalade, roasted nuts, caramelized pear, and gentle spice carried through a long, elegant finish.
