It is a bit loose from age and the shrinkage that happens over time. There is one crack to the lower reverse so please be sure to look closely at the photos. The details on the pommel and Luftwaffe eagle are excellent. The details on the scabbard are exquisite. The scabbard is near excellent, with nice detailing, and a great tone. The two small rings are in place and are very good. The blade is very good, though it does show some scratches and slight wear. It is not only nicely marked by the maker SMF and is also personalized, you can see it is engraved initials. This is a desirable offering.
