Inspiration
In his illustrated diary, titled “Noa Noa” (fragrance in Tahitian), lies the chronicle of his relentless quest for the lost paradise in the idyllic lands of Tahiti. This legendary diary not only reflects the great painter’s inner struggle, but also his unique vision of Tahiti’s lush landscape, its people, and its rich ancestral culture.
Gauguin, tormented by the need to discover the wild, began his journey in secluded villages of Brittany, where his first strokes began to come to life. However, this unquenchable passion eventually led him to the crystal-clear waters of French Polynesia, where his art was transformed and where he lived among the local tribes as one of their own, revisiting and enriching his works.
Olfative notes
The top notes of Bergamot, Lemon, Orange and Ginger pay tribute to the exuberance of tropical flora and the freshness of sun-kissed fruits.
The heart notes of Juniper, Petitgrain and Monoi transport us to the interior of the island, where natural scents and cultural essences blend in an intimate embrace.

Entertaining and helpful lessons
Format: Hardcover
My family loves this book. Used to read it to my daughter as a young girl and now she’s a teen. We still talk about the lessons learned in this book! The characters and illustrations crack me up: Smash, rip and ruin taught us a lot! And the ones without hands and noses! I couldn’t believe how long ago this book was written when we got it- all lessons still applicable today.

Fun Way to Teach Manners

... over with my 3yo and 5yo boys but they loved it!

I wasn't sure how this would go over with my 3yo and 5yo boys but they loved it!! They always enjoy pulling it out and now I can refer back to the characters to remind them of their manners in a more positive way. The only thing is I kinda wish they had used a different animal than pig, since for some reason I don't like saying "don't be like the pigs" (since I don't really want them calling eachother or other kids pigs). But so far it has been fine :) It's also very nice they included "Be kind to animals, they have feelings too." We say that all the time around here since we have kitties. Also the part about table manners is great since we had already been teaching the kids to ask before being excused from the table.

Manners Can Be Fun

What a cute book! I bought it for my 2 and 3 year old boys. We are attempting to teach them simple, common manners in a fun way and they love learning through books. Manners Can Be Fun presents manners in a simple, easy to understand, engaging way. The boys enjoy reading this book and it's a great way to have positive conversations about specific situations they experience daily like sharing toys, picking up after themselves, whining, meal time. It's a fun book!

Wonderful, simple book for children of all ages
Format: Hardcover
I am 65 years old and this was one of my first books. The revisions along the way have not changed the drawings that much. It is simple, but well illustrated, and gives a basic idea of good manners. I recommend it for every child - it makes them think about behavior. The way the author demonstrates "me first" and "whinney" have stuck with me all these years.
