God is concerned about how you preach, how you counsel, and how you serve Him in all aspects of your life. He does not countenance slipshod work. In the Scriptures, He has spoken explicitly about becoming proficient at what you do. Though He will do as He pleases, God has not promised to bless the efforts of those who desire simply to "get by." In this book, Jay Adams looks at the whole matter of competent ministry and challenges every believer to honor God and please Him in his work. But what does please God? How can you become effective in His service? What help does He offer if you want to improve the quality of your service? In Committed to Craftsmanship, you will explore these and other related questions. This book is dedicated to all those who seek to grow and improve in their service to their Savior.

______________
This is a MUST READ if you've ever wondered what the difference is between "Christian/Integrated" counseling and true "Biblical" counseling. Adams shows, without apology, how and why the Bible is sufficient for counseling Christians. God's Word does not need help from man's philosophy. Adams also gives a long overdue warning to those who counsel to take seriously how to handle God's word: hard work, study and preparation. If you are a Christian and are (or are considering becoming) a counselor, this small powerful book is a must read. Raymond
