To open: Extend the key out, then grab {use your whole hand to hold each side) the key with from both sides of the line that extends from the trunk button. Make sure the buttons are pointed down and wrigle both side of the key away from each other. To open the compartment inside simply place your thumbs in the area where the key would normally rest, then push the pieces outwards.
