Yonex Tour Skill 2 Non-Marking Badminton Shoes

If you play badminton at any club, leisure center, or indoor facility in the United States, you already know the rule: non-marking soles only. The Yonex Tour Skill 2 is engineered to meet that requirement without sacrificing a single millimeter of court performance. This is a shoe built for players who treat footwork as a weapon — not an afterthought.

Yonex has outfitted champions at the BWF World Championships, the All England Open, and the Olympic Games for over four decades. When Yonex engineers a court shoe, it carries that tournament-level DNA into every pair — from elite club players all the way down to competitive weekend warriors.

Why Players Choose the Tour Skill 2

Certified Non-Marking Rubber Outsole
The high-traction rubber outsole is specifically formulated for polished hardwood and synthetic indoor court surfaces. It grips during explosive lateral cuts and forward lunges without leaving scuff marks that would violate facility policies or damage the court. If your venue enforces a non-marking shoe rule — and most do — this shoe clears that bar completely.

Tru Cushion Shock Absorption
Badminton places repetitive, high-impact load on the heel and forefoot during jump smashes and net rushes. Yonex's Tru Cushion insole technology absorbs that impact at the midsole level, reducing fatigue over long training sessions and multi-match tournament days. Your knees and ankles will thank you in the third game.

Breathable Multi-Layer Upper
The upper combines mesh panels for airflow with synthetic overlays for lateral support. Your foot stays cool under rally pressure and locked-in during quick directional changes — the two things most budget badminton shoes fail at simultaneously.

Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) Support Frame
A TPU frame wraps the midfoot and heel, preventing the shoe from rolling during the explosive side-to-side movement that defines net play and baseline defense. This is the structural detail that separates purpose-built court shoes from cross-trainers players sometimes try to substitute.

Lightweight Unisex Design
At a weight class designed for agility, the Tour Skill 2 doesn't slow your footwork down. The unisex last fits both men's and women's foot shapes with a round toe box that gives your toes room to splay naturally on impact.

FAQ SECTION

Q1: Are the Yonex Tour Skill 2 shoes truly non-marking? Yes. The Tour Skill 2 features a non-marking rubber outsole specifically engineered for indoor court use. It will not leave scuff or black marks on polished hardwood or synthetic surfaces. This shoe complies with the non-marking footwear policies enforced at most badminton clubs and leisure facilities in the United States.

Q2: What is "Tru Cushion" technology in Yonex badminton shoes? Tru Cushion is Yonex's shock-absorbing insole system designed to reduce the high-impact load on your heel and forefoot during jump smashes, lunges, and rapid directional changes. It extends comfort and reduces fatigue across long training sessions and multi-game tournament play.

Q3: Can I wear the Yonex Tour Skill 2 for sports other than badminton? While the shoe is optimized for badminton's lateral movement patterns and indoor court surfaces, it can also be used for other indoor racket sports like squash or pickleball where non-marking soles are required. It is not designed for outdoor use or running, as the flat outsole and court-specific grip pattern are not suited to uneven terrain.

Q4: How do Yonex badminton shoes fit — should I size up or down? Yonex shoes generally run true to size for US men's sizing. The Tour Skill 2 features a regular fit with a round toe box that gives ample room for natural toe splay. Players with wide feet may find a half-size up more comfortable for extended wear. Refer to our size chart for specific measurements.

Q5: What is the difference between the Yonex Tour Skill 2 and higher-end Yonex models like the Aerus? The Tour Skill 2 is positioned in Yonex's performance-recreational tier, offering genuine non-marking court engineering and Tru Cushion technology at $84.99. The Aerus line (typically $120–$160+) adds carbon fiber reinforcement, lighter weight construction, and elite-level power cushioning designed for professional-level training loads. The Tour Skill 2 is the better value choice for club players training up to 4x per week.

Q6: Do these shoes come with free shipping in the US? Yes — orders of $100 or more at TopCricketStore qualify for free US shipping. If you are ordering the Tour Skill 2 alone at $84.99, adding any additional item (grip tape, shuttlecocks, or badminton accessories) to your cart will bring you over the free shipping threshold.

Q7: Are Yonex Tour Skill 2 shoes suitable for beginners? Absolutely. While the Tour Skill 2 delivers club-level performance features, it is not overly technical or heavy. Beginners buying their first dedicated badminton shoe will benefit immediately from the non-marking sole compliance, improved lateral support versus cross-trainers, and the court-specific grip pattern. It is a better starting point than a generic athletic shoe and will last through multiple seasons of recreational play.

Q8: Why should I buy badminton shoes instead of using regular sneakers? Regular sneakers — including running shoes and cross-trainers — have outsoles designed for forward motion on varied surfaces. Badminton's movement demands explosive lateral cuts, jump-landing shock, and quick pivots on a smooth hardwood surface. A court-specific shoe like the Tour Skill 2 provides the lateral stability, grip pattern, and non-marking compliance that sneakers cannot offer. Most indoor badminton facilities also prohibit non-dedicated court shoes as a condition of play.

The best…
5120x2160! Did you read the 2160 vertical!? Yea I can’t stress that enough. Gosh I find it so frustrating there arnt more options in this space. Here is the deal, if you have multiple monitor setup (and you should if you have a work station) you likely will have a couple of 4k monitors kicking around. Now these 4k monitors are staples, and they all have 2160 vertical. If you have 1140 vertical like almost ALL ultra wide monitors do then there will be this annoying stepping with your mouse when you go from one screen to the next. It drives me nuts that the standard for these ultra wides does this. If you don’t have the same resolution vertical from one screen to the next then you won’t have a seamless transition from one screen to the next. It’s just the facts. This dell is one of the only curved ultra wide monitors with 2160 vertical resolution. It runs at 120 hertz which also believe it or not makes it one of the only 5120x2160 resolution monitors on the market to do that. I’m sure you can tell by my writing I have owned a lot of high quality monitors in my time and this one for me is by far the best. I’m switching from a none curved ultra wide 32” LG that runs at 60hrtz. Needless to say this is way better, and sadly there was like this burn in that occurred on my LG that would eventually go away but stick around for the better part of a day. This ultimately put me back in the market looking for a replacement. Point being, now I only buy dell monitors. I’ve never had issues with them , they have great color reproduction, pretty affordable (as of now), basically super reliable all around. Obviously I’m not thrilled about the lack of options for folks that have real work to do on there pcs. All this gamer b.s. in the marketplace, it’s all junk as far as I’m concerned. So if you actually have productive things to do on your pc then you can’t do much better then this monitor, I highly recommend. My only gripe is I wanted a smaller version of this maybe a 32” or 36”, it simply doesn’t exist on the market as of now. However, this works for me, the curved surface buys me back a little desk relestate, and it’s something I really missed with my previous monitor. Side note, I definitely recommend monitor arms for all your monitors. I bought one for the larger center monitor (this one) and it works great. Just be sure you buy one that has a high weight capacity, ideally 44lbs or more. This monitor given its size is 42lbs I believe (although honestly it doesn’t feel nearly that heavy). So just be prepared for that. Hope this is helpful, and I hope the manufacturers wake up one day and realize this screen resolution isn’t a nice to have, it’s a must for a lot of people.

Perfect “Command Center” Monitor for Mac Studio – Worth the Money
Title: Perfect “Command Center” Monitor for Mac Studio – Worth the Money I’m using this Dell U4025QW with a Mac Studio M2 Max, and it’s exactly what I wanted: a huge, sharp, curved workspace that also handles games really well. The 40” 5K2K screen lets me keep Docs, email, browser, and gradebook all open at once without feeling cramped, and the curve makes it comfortable to use for long stretches. Text is clear, colors look great out of the box, and bumping it up to 120 Hz makes macOS feel noticeably smoother. The Thunderbolt/USB-C hub is a big bonus – one cable to the Mac, and everything else (keyboard, mouse, etc.) can live on the back of the monitor, so the desk stays clean. It’s not cheap, but if you live in documents all day and also want your games to look and run smoothly, this is a fantastic “do it all” monitor and I have zero regrets about the purchase.

The best business monitor
I have used many of the monitors in the Dell UltraSharp line and thought that my previous monitor, the U4021QW was the apex of Business monitors. The U4025QW improves on it in small but meaningful ways. Looking at the monitor, you can't visually tell the difference at first glance. To me the ultra-wide curved monitor format is preferrable to dual monitors. The 5120 x 2160 / 21:9 screen ratio gives the business user more vertical space while not sacrificing the horizontal space. Many ultrawide monitors give you the width of 5120 but stick you with 1440 vertically. That resolution always felt cramped to me. This connectivity on this monitor far exceeds its predecessor. It is upgraded from Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 4, adds 2 usb-c ports and one USB-A, giving a total of 5 USB-A and 5 USB-C. This allowed me to replace my old desktop dock and go with a direct connection to the monitor for everything. When reading about the monitor, I thought the drop-down ports were a bit gimmicky, but it is a big improvement over the location on the previous model. This is very accessible and helps with wireless devices whose signal degrades by being placed behind the monitor. The monitor is pricey, but I think it is worth it if you are on your computer all day every day. As on co-worker once said, the monitor is the part of the computer that we use 100% of the time we interact with it.

Extremely sturdy
Color: Black-Mount
I purchased this heavy-duty dual gaming monitor arm holder as a birthday gift for my husband to mount his curved gaming screens, and it completely transformed his setup. It feels extremely sturdy and well-built, easily supporting both monitors without any wobble or instability. The adjustability is excellent. He can tilt, swivel, and reposition each screen with ease, which makes it perfect for both gaming and everyday computer use. It also helps clear up a lot of desk space, giving his setup a much cleaner and more organized look. Installation was straightforward, and the mounting hardware felt solid and secure. Once everything was set up, the arms moved smoothly but stayed firmly in place when adjusted. He absolutely loved it and immediately noticed how much more comfortable and immersive his gaming experience became. Overall, this is a high-quality, durable monitor mount that made a perfect upgrade for his gaming station and a great birthday gift.

The Product is Great - The Customer Service is Even Better
Color: Black-Mount
I want to preface by saying I have never written a review for a product on Amazon. Having said that I felt compelled to review this particular product after an incredibly positive interaction I had with AVLT. I purchased this set of monitor arms due to the fact that my desk is relatively small, as is the space I have to work with while at my computer. I currently have two monitors, a 34" Samsung 2K monitor for gaming, and a 32" Samsung 1080p monitor. After purchasing this product and assembling it, I realized my 2nd monitor (32") was a few years too old and the bracket adapter for the monitor arm didn't fit. That was fine, as at least I had some extra space to work with until I got myself a new monitor to use with the other monitor arm. Fast forward several months and I finally had the monitor I needed - only to find out that I had lost or misplaced the additional bracket. So now I had 3 monitors and even less space to work with. After a lengthy search for a sufficient replacement part, I finally reached out to AVLT in desperation regarding this missing bracket. My query was answered by an employee named "George" the very same day, and within 48 hours I was able to secure the replacement bracket which is currently en route to my house from Taiwan. Alongside the headache of not being able to properly mount the monitors I had on hand, I start working from home this coming week, and my wife is currently 33 weeks pregnant. Needless to say, the ease with which I was able to negotiate this minor, yet irritating problem I was dealing with has helped me more than any Amazon review can ever repay. The help I received from George was simply outstanding, and I hope he receives the recognition he deserves from the company he works for. Sometimes even little things like a quick response can help people more than you realize. Thank you, George and AVLT! Oh, and the monitor arms are great. They're sturdy (metal not plastic), firmly clamp to my desk, and are easily adjustable. As stated in some previous reviews, there is a bit of clearance needed behind your desk in order for these monitor arms to move about, but that's a minor inconvenience at worst. I recommend them, and the fact that the company is there to help should anything go awry is extremely helpful in a world where the emphasis on this seems to be fading away. If I ever need a product similar to this one, or know anyone who does, I will recommend AVLT products specifically based on the customer service I received (the product is awesome too). Thanks again, George! - Joel
