Lisbon Duffle Backpack L - 70L of Smart Packing, in Duffle or Backpack Mode

Meet the Lisbon Duffle Backpack L by Kapten & Son - a 70L travel duffle that switches to backpack mode when you need your hands free (think: stairs, platforms, metro corridors). It’s built for long weekends that turn into week trips, work travel, or any “I’ll pack light… I swear” situation. You get smart organisation, a dedicated 15.6"/16" laptop compartment, and comfort details that actually matter when the bag is full: a padded back plus a removable hip belt to help carry the load. It’s also water-repellent and comes with an included rain cover - because weather loves surprises.

Who is it for?

Travelers, commuters-on-the-go, creators, and “I might extend the trip” types who want one bag that adapts: backpack mode for airports + stairs, duffle mode for car trunks + hotel rooms. If you like being organised (or you’re working on it in 2026), this is your big-volume bag that still looks sharp.

What Makes It Stand Out

  • 🧳 70L capacity for real packing: shoes, layers, tech, and those “just in case” extras - without turning into a messy black hole.
  • 🔁 Two carry modes, one bag: switch between backpack and duffle depending on the moment (terminal sprint, train hop, quick hotel check-in).
  • 💻 Laptop compartment included: dedicated space up to 39 x 28 cm (15.6" laptop / 16" MacBook) so your tech stays separate from your shoes.
  • 🌧️ Rain-ready build: water-repellent materials + included rain cover for heavy showers and long exposure.
  • 🧠 Proper organisation: multiple internal + external pockets (including a wet pocket, mesh organisers, carabiner pocket, and an anti-theft compartment).
  • 🦴 Comfort when it’s fully loaded: padded back + a padded removable hip belt to help distribute weight.
  • 🧷 Travel-friendly details: suitcase attachment when you want effortless rolling-luggage mode.
  • 🫶 Vegan & recycled materials: built with 88% recycled PET - clean look, responsible build, easy to live with.

If you’ve ever asked yourself: “Can I pack for 5 days without juggling two bags?”, “Can my laptop stay protected?”, “Will this hurt through stairs and platforms?” - this bag was designed for exactly that kind of travel.

Why You’re Going to Love It

The Lisbon Duffle Backpack L is for trips where freedom matters more than perfect planning. It looks sleek and minimal on the outside - and the inside is genuinely well thought-out. Signature line: It’s the bag you grab when you don’t want your luggage to be the main character.

  • Pack big, keep it clean: dedicated zones for straps, wet items, tech, and quick-access essentials.
  • Carry it your way: backpack mode when hands-free matters, duffle mode when you want fast grab-and-go.
  • Less stress in transit: suitcase strap + anti-theft pocket = fewer things to juggle, more peace of mind.
  • Small extras, big impact: rain cover, shoe bag, laundry bag - you’ll use them more than you think.

Not sure about the size? Quick cheat sheet: If the Lisbon Duffle Backpack L feels like “too much bag” for your routine, check the Lisbon Duffle Backpack M (great for long weekends) or the Lisbon Duffle Backpack S (gym + 2-3 day trips + light travel). Prefer an everyday backpack for work + city + short travel? The Lisbon Pro Backpack is your clean, commuter-ready option.

FAQ

+

It’s a large 70L travel bag, so it won’t be a “safe” carry-on for most airlines when fully packed. Always compare the bag’s size (38 x 60 x 32 cm) with your airline’s cabin rules - and if you want a more cabin-friendly option, the smaller Lisbon Duffle sizes are usually the better call.

+

Yes. The laptop compartment measures 39 x 28 cm, designed for laptops up to 15.6" and also fits a 16" MacBook. Handy for work trips when you want tech separated from the rest of your gear.

+

For a bag this size, it’s built the right way: padded back + padded, removable hip belt to help distribute weight. If you’re moving through stations, stairs, and long terminals, the hip belt really helps.

+

It’s water-repellent (splashes, light rain, damp platforms). For heavy rain or long exposure, use the included rain cover for stronger protection.

+

Use it as a classic duffle when it’s quick and simple, then switch to backpack mode when you need hands-free movement. It’s made for travel transitions (taxi → terminal → stairs → platform) without needing to repack.

+

Yes. It has two side compartments, including a wet pocket. Plus it comes with a shoe bag and a laundry bag so clean and used gear stay separated (your future self will thank you).

+

Yes. It’s vegan and built primarily from recycled PET (88%), with PU and polyester for structure and durability.

An excellent book...a must read!
Format: Paperback
Ruthie Gilmore's examination of California's prison-industrial complex paints a sobering portrait of the effects of the state's post-industrial decline in the past quarter century. Supplemented by numerous charts, maps, and statistics, Gilmore argues that the massive prison-building project that began in the early 1980s was rooted in earlier developments, namely the failure of the "welfare-warfare state" to absorb the numerous surpluses created by political and economic restructuring. Combining theory and historical-sociological analysis, this highly readable book is at once depressing and optimistic; it lays out the facts and guidelines for pursuing meaningful, antiracist struggles against the systemic dehumanization of immigrants, low-wage workers, and youths of color that continues to characterize U.S. political culture.
