Petitjean Swiss Vise Master — The Flagship Vise from a Legendary Tyer

The Petitjean Swiss Vise Master is the most complete vise in the Petitjean lineup, built for tyers who want precision, flexibility, and a setup that adapts to the way they work. Petitjean has spent decades refining what a tying vise should be, and the Master is where that thinking comes together.

The Master mounts two ways. It comes with a high-capacity C-clamp that fits tables up to 100mm thick, and it can also be set up as a pedestal vise when you want a freestanding base or are working at a surface a clamp will not reach. The stem and a purpose-built adjustment nut let you position the extension arm at a range of angles, so you can bring the jaws to the height and orientation that suits the pattern in front of you rather than working around a fixed setup.

For tyers who work with tube flies, the Master is ready out of the box. It is delivered with a set of five mandrels for tube flies and a centering gauge, so the vise handles tubes as easily as it does standard hooks. Everything travels in a padded Cordura zippered case, which makes the Master a genuine option for tying at the bench, at a show, or on the road.

Each Master also includes a printed instruction manual and access to Petitjean's online instructional video, so you can get the most out of the vise from the first session.

Our dogs hurt their mouths chewing these bones
Color: Purple & Blue
I don't do a lot of reviews because I realize many are objective opinions. However, in this case I felt it was necessary to warn others. Our dogs are aggressive chewers. Their last rubber bones (not these) which we've purchased before, and recently purchased again, were destroyed quickly. Chunks of rubber came off the ends. Since those didn't hold up like they used to, I found these harder bones hoping they would last longer. They were able to gnaw into the hard plastic within a few minutes. This created sharp edges that cut their mouths. When I saw a bit of blood on the bones, I took them away from the dogs and threw them away. I wondered why they quit chewing on them after being so excited at first. Also, these are hard enough to damage a tooth.

Pups have shown zero interest in these toys….
Color: Purple & Blue
I would agree that these are indestructible being neither of my dogs have shown any interest in these at all. At this rate they should last forever…

Durable but losses interest
Color: Purple & Blue
My dog is an aggressive chewer. She was interested in this toy while it was new, but soon after lost interest. Good news is although it took a beating it did not break or splinter. If soppy toys are disposable in your house, give it a try.

Still squeaking after all these days!
Size: Jumbo, Style: Beef
My power chewer GSPs usually wreck all "tough" toys in less than an hour, especially if they squeak. These seem pricey but I can say it's held up really well. After about three weeks, it's still hanging in there! The stripes are worn off but the squeaker still squeaks and that's what it's all about.
