The transmission is tired, just like you. The factory 48RE was really only designed to handle the load of factory power, and not much more than that. If it's converted from a gearbox to a forbidden slushy mix, or you're just looking to handle factory level work with some insurance that your draintrain won't lay down on you during your regular day to day, BD Diesel has a cost effective replacement solution for you, to keep costs down for those looking for a straight forward transmission swap. Get the benefits of cleaner shifts, lower RPM response from the enhanced torque converter, better heat management and better stall for street/towing applications.

BD's Roadmaster fully remanufactured transmission features a BD Valve Body that has many modifications to improve shift quality and extend transmission life. The valve body is equipped with a new heavy-duty governor pressure solenoid as well as an upgraded pressure transducer kit with twice the burst pressure as stock. The RoadMaster transmission also includes a deep sump oil pan for increased fluid capacity and cooling. Every 48RE RoadMaster transmission comes packaged with a BD ProForce Torque Converter, and they're dyno tested to ensure you're getting a road ready and reliable replacement.

SHIPPING POLICY - Due to the size and weight of transmissions, they cannot be shipped through traditional couriers, such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc. and MUST be shipped via truck freight. We do not offer free shipping on transmissions, however, we do offer a very competitive rate charged at checkout. Once your core transmission is ready for pick up, you just need to give us a call or send us an e-mail with your original order number and the core tag on the transmission, and we can supply you with a quote on the return shipping as that is not covered in the original shipping cost. Otherwise, we give you the option to coordinate the return shipping on your own and independently pay your courier of choice.
