Al palato è ricco, di bella complessità, vellutato e di piacevole persistenza.Lo Chambolle-Musigny è spesso considerato il rosso più "femminile" della Côte de Nuits; si distingue, infatti, per una delicatezza e una finezza senza pari. In particolare, lo Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Borniques" del Domaine Roux nasce da uve pinot noir raccolte manualmente e matura per 15-18 mesi in legno; fragrante e setoso, vanta una bella carnosità.
Ottimo in abbinamento ai secondi di carne, si accompagna bene ad agnello, vitello e pollame.
