That’s what I have to tell everyone who picks up this “violin.”
Indeed, it is exactly the same length as a violin.

Its unique shape stands out among all the violins and attracts immediately the attention of all violinists who visit the workshop.

The idea to build a violin-sized viola came from a customer in California who wanted an instrument that felt like a violin to play, but had the sound of a viola.

To achieve this, I redesigned the body to be wider and built it with higher ribs.
To make the most of this setup, we used short-scale viola strings.

And here we are! I love it.
