Características del material:

El Bambú es una fibra 100% natural de origen vegetal, no animal, con propiedades antialérgicas y antibacterianas. Esta planta es de las que más crece y se reproduce del mundo, sin necesitar abonos ni cuidados ya que no tiene apenas depredadores, por lo que no son necesarios los pesticidas. Además algo a destacar es que es una planta que requiere muy poca agua, unas 10 veces menos que el algodón. . Se trata de un hilado natural, fresco, transpirable y sostenible, siendo 100% biodegradable, con una suavidad y características que confieren una caída espectacular de la prenda.

Suave y absorbente además de transpirable, el bambú no irrita y permite un lavado fácil y continuo, que no está reñido con su tacto y suavidad. Protege contra los rayos UV.


Proceso para la fabricación de la lana de bambú:

La lana de bambú se obtiene de la cosecha de la planta de bambú, que se corta o rompe en tiras o astillas con la que se hace la pulpa. A continuación se destila y finalmente se hila en hilo.

Por tanto, la fibra de bambú es de origen no animal, y los tejidos hechos con esta "lana" se consideran prendas ecológicas.

 

Algo muy positivo es que es un recurso renovable ya que no es necesario matar la planta para recoger la cosecha, y solo necesitan de unos pocos meses para volver a crecer. Además, durante el proceso de crecimiento, la planta de bambú protege el suelo de la erosión y ayuda a conservar su agua.

El resultado del tejido es de tacto especialmente suave y sedoso, más que el algodón. Además tiene un brillo muy elegante y una caída muy semejante a la de la seda.
