Di colore rosso rubino luminoso, al naso è fruttato, con note di prugna ed amarena, note di macchia mediterranea, erbe officinali come timo ed eucalipto e pepe nero. In bocca è fresco, sapido, elegante, fruttato e dal finale leggermente balsamico. I tannini sono gentili ed integrati. Bella persistenza.

Il sangiovese è un vitigno dalle origini molto antiche. Conosciuto per la sua grande versatilità e moltitudine di cloni, si dice risalga ai tempi dei primi insediamenti etruschi e romani in Toscana. Vitigno vigoroso, ha trovato nel suolo della Maremma un terreno adatto alla sua maturazione ed espressione olfattiva. Petra ha voluto produrre questo Belvento Sangiovese come omaggio al vitigno principe della Toscana. L'affinamento avviene in botti di rovere di varie dimensioni per circa 12 mesi, per arricchirlo di aromi e di struttura.

Si abbina con insaccati, carni rosse, arrosti e formaggi stagionati.
