Kin Kikokuryu highly resemble Doitsu Gin Matsuba. The difference comes in the presence of a third color (red, orange or yellow) and the fact that Kin Kikokuryu have an underlying black pattern that occurs across the entire body, even on the mouth, head and fins. The underlying body-wide sumi is absent in Doitsu Gin Matsuba, where the sumi appears only in the row of scales down the back.
Many different shades of red, yellow or orange can appear in Kin Kikokuryu. Kikokuryu with a strong red pattern are often referred to as Beni Kikokuryu. Currently, no one color is preferred over the others.
As with Kumonryu and Kikokuryu, the pattern of any single Kin Kikokuryu will change greatly over the course of growth to maturity.

Durable but losses interest
Color: Purple & Blue
My dog is an aggressive chewer. She was interested in this toy while it was new, but soon after lost interest. Good news is although it took a beating it did not break or splinter. If soppy toys are disposable in your house, give it a try.

Great for treats
Size: Small
Great for chewers. Tough medium size toy, treat toy, busy entertainment for all dogs. Dry, moist or squeeze food can be placed in the end and sides. My dog loves.

My dogs are smiling!
Size: Small
I have 3 small dogs (ranging from about 10 lbs - 13 lbs). This dental toy was the perfect size. My dogs love it (with or without treats). It is durable, even after lots of chewing. I had bought another brand of the same type of toy and they bit off pieces in the first week. It really has made a difference in their teeth cleanliness and their breath is even fresher. Overall great value and my dogs love it!

Not Suitable For Dobermans or Labradors
Size: Large, Size: Large
In reading all of the reviews, it seemed that most dogs were just not interested in chewing the toy. It is suitable for a dog treat inside but my dogs do not have treats in toys, since both are aggressive dog chewers. Upon opening both packages, I thought this is going to be great for both of them. I purchased two, one for each of them. My male 3 year old, 92 pound European Doberman consistently kept his away from the 1 1/2 year old 65 pound female labrador mix, and within one hour we had already had a break in one of the toys. I do not know which one did it!? Nor do I care. Especially when I had to wake up at 2:30 in the morning to the sounds of vomiting dog toy pieces from my girl. Was it the material that caused the vomiting or that the material is not strong enough for an aggressive tour as advertised? Very disappointed.
