About: A series of original oil paintings by artist Gil Mutch. Gil maintains a quality and consistency across a body of work, painting in an identifiable and distinctive style and a variety of subject matter (landscapes, still life studies and portraits). Her starting point for a picture is always an experience - vivid, but sometimes quite fleeting. Repeated layers and textures are built up in Gil's intriguing work, frequently returning to a painting, over a very long period of time, before the piece is complete.
