The superbly worked Bernard Sindall designed 1989 500th anniversary sovereign is perhaps the most beautiful British coin, Limited edition especially struck 3 Coin proof sovereign set in original royal mint issue case, air tight screw capsules and certificate of authenticity. These proof sovereigns differs from the standard sovereign issued or bullion type in that this coin is in perfect proof condition free of finger prints, scratches, and other blemishes. The proof sovereign is also specially dipped during the the minting process to produce the iconic frosted raised features on both obverse and reverse.
Tudor queen, reworked 1489 original sovereign design by designed by Bernard, no bullion or currency issue sovereigns of this type were issued. The '500th Anniversary sovereigns are extremely sought after with a mintage of just 10,535
