Σε γλώσσα εποχής του Κοραή και με μεγάλη τυπική πιστότητα στα πρωτότυπα κείμενα, -ακολουθώντας στην Παλαιά Διαθήκη τον κανόνα της ιουδαϊκής Βίβλου (39 βιβλία)- που την καθιστά "κλασσική". Εξυπηρέτησε πολλές γενιές νεοελλήνων που δεν είχαν πρόσβαση στα πρωτότυπα κείμενα και μάλιστα πριν εκδοθούν άλλες μεταγενέστερες μεταφράσεις της Αγίας Γραφής.
