Minimum Tank Size Recommended: 20 Gallons
Groups: Recommended Solo, Pairs (M+F), or harem

Compatibility/Temperament: These fish can live in a community setting, but avoid keeping with slow, docile tank mates. They do well with corys, plecos, rasboras, tetras and other dither fish. Can show aggression during spawning with male actively chasing unreceptive female. As well females with fry will protect young and chase others away. Fin nipping and skirmishes are common in these scenarios. May predate on small snails and shrimp.
