Afyon has, for Centuries, been one of the richest textile production centres Turkey, and due to the suitability of the surrounding terrain for sheep raising, produces some of the best wool in Anatolia. This attractive , small rug features the wide stripe design with minimal use of motifs, woven in shades of orange, brown, beige and green, which is typical of this region.
