Garlic has been used as both food and medicine in many cultures for thousands of years. With its high concentration of sulfur-containing compounds, trace minerals and enzymes, garlic has consistently demonstrated the ability to support immune function, provide antioxidant support and promote cardiovascular health. Many of the biological effects that have been attributed to garlic are thought to be related to allicin and other breakdown products. Allicin is formed when alliin, a sulfur-containing amino acid, comes into contact with the enzyme alliinase when raw garlic is chopped, crushed, or chewed. Dried garlic preparations containing alliin & alliinase must be enteric coated to be effective because stomach acid inhibits alliinase and decomposes allicin. Studies on garlic demonstrate its role in helping to maintain optimal health and wellness.
Benefits
-
Garlic has been shown to promote cardiovascular health via its ability to scavenge free radicals by supporting the activity of various antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase and glutathione peroxidase (due to its selenium content).†
-
The active compounds in garlic have demonstrated the ability to promote a normal, healthy inflammatory response, healthy blood clotting and blood pressure as well as support of cholesterol levels already in the normal range.†
-
Among the many favorable actions of garlic, the support of normal, healthy cell growth and healthy immune function are two of the most significant.†
Features
-
Our 500 mg garlic is a high potency garlic product, having an allicin yield of 5,000 mcg per tablet.
-
Synergistic benefits provided by a variety of naturally occurring sulfur-containing compounds such as thiosulfinates and gamma-glutamylcysteines.
-
Each tablet is enteric-coated to protect the integrity and preserve the biological activity of allicin from the damaging effects of stomach acid.
-
Odor controlled

A great engineering calculator
Color: Black
I am an electrical engineering professor. it is a struggle to find an inexpensive calculator to recommend to students that can handle complex matrices! There are other engineering calculators that I like much more than the 9750 (such as the hp-prime (my favorite) or the Casio fx-cg50) but this is the least expensive of the calculators I consider "engineering capable". I didn't mention the TI 84 because it handles complex math very poorly, and requires "Euler entry" of polar numbers. The TI-Nspire can do it all, but has way too many menu levels to get anything done.
The 9750 doesn't support CAS mode, and the graphing capabilities are tedious, slow, and poor resolution, but as an engineering calculator I rate it highly because of the complex math and matrix capabilities. I like the larger "graphing" screen for showing larger matrices (not for graphing).

Great value for money, calculus and linear algebra Calculator
Color: White
Great calculator for Linear Algebra. I’ve been using it for 5 months nearly everyday for hours on end and its battery is still holding up. It comes with a sleeve and made from light plastic that is durable. For a cheap calculator, it pulls its weight in matrices, polynomials, and even graphing. My only gripe with this calculator is the limited vector calculations that make it less than ideal for any sort of physics academics.

Recommended!
Color: Pink
This calculator model was recommended by the school for math classes, and my daughter has been using it for quite some time now. She's very happy with it and finds it reliable and easy to use. She especially loves that it comes in this color - it's a nice "girly" option that stands out from the usual standard designs.

Good quality
Color: Pink
Good quality. The color is very cute, and I used it for pre-algebra, algebra, and advanced maths, and it does have other modes for other grades, so this would work for grades 6-12. It has lots of features that are required for highschool, so it's nice. It also came with another simpler scientific calculator with works with basic maths and elementary levels. It was worth the buy and I'd do it again. I gave the graphing calculator to my oldest in middle school now going to high school and the scientific calculator to my youngest that is in elementary.
