Author Shelley Gill was seventeen-years-old in 1972 and a free spirit protesting the Vietnam War, marching for civil rights, and finding her way in a changing world. While volunteering in the medical tent at the first Rainbow Gathering in Granby, Colorado, Shelley met Gabe—a blue merle husky mix puppy abandoned by his owner. Gabe quickly became Shelley’s best friend and protector. They travelled the country together, hitchhiking to New Orleans, to Indiana, to New York City, to the Rocky Mountains, and eventually to Alaska, where they stayed.
Shelley Gill has lived full-force, grabbing life by the horns and not letting go. Her spirit and attitude are ever-present in this autobiography, which is a snapshot of a turbulent time in American history, as well as a love-letter to cherished dog.

Fun and durable toy
Lots of fun for this crazy guy! He pounces on it, chases it and has so much fun. The confusion on his face is so funny. He usually gets bored fast, however this ball keeps him quite entertained.
The ball holds a charge for a few playtimes so that is also a plus!

I wouldn’t recommend this for strong chewers.

Is it fun? Sure. Was it easy to charge and set up? Yep. That being said, this toy kind of fell flat for me. It really didn’t do any big movements once charged that I expected it to, so that was a bummer. I initially got it for my dog, but my cats were more interested in this than my dog was. The battery does seem to last a long time and the motor is pretty quiet. I WOULD NOT recommend this toy for strong chewers as the material for this is a foam rubber and I don’t think it’s durable enough for strong chewers. While the material makes this ball extremely lightweight for more movement, a strong chewer would have this disintegrated in five minutes flat. My Dog is a super strong chewer. I don’t think I would feel comfortable leaving him unattended with this because I know he would destroy it.
