Learn about linocut (or block) printing and make a pair of very cute and unique tea towels!
During this 2 1/2 hour make & take workshop, Tammy will walk you through the basics of linocut (or block) printing in one color, designing and printing repeat or border patterns and special techniques for block printing on fabric.
Everyone will print fun, simple and contemporary patterns onto 100% cotton tea towels. Come alone and meet new people or sign up with a friend!
Tammy will guide you through designing, drawing and cutting into the lino blocks which you will use on your tea towels.
Everyone will take home 2 freshly printed gray cotton tea towels. You have the option of also keeping the linocut tools ($20 value) for $10 extra. You can choose this after the class if you want also. The tool set consists of a linocutting tool with 6 different blades and a hard rubber brayer.
No experience necessary.
This class is open to ages 12+
All materials will be provided.
Refreshments will be served. Wine will be available to those who are over the age of 21.
• Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty. The fabric ink is colorfast so will not wash out of your clothing.
Please note:
Space is limited so please register soon. Due to the prep for this class, no refunds can be given, but can be exchanged if you have someone to take your place. If you have a conflict or are ill, please call the store (913-981-8001). Preregistration is required.
Tickets are non-refundable, but in the case of inclement weather we will reschedule the class.
