Turquoise is one of the oldest and most beloved stones in man's history. Long treasured by kings, shamans and warriors, the turquoise stone was thought to bring protection and good fortune.

This beautiful ring features bright blue turquoise cabochon framed by crisp white enamel accented with half pearls. The materials contrast with one another in both color and texture, resulting in a piece that is intriguing and timeless.

The face of the ring was originally an antique 14k gold brooch (circa 1910-1920) that our jeweler transformed by expertly removing the pin findings and welding on a custom built 14k gold mounting.

The top of the ring measures 1.3 inches from top to bottom by 0.6 inches wide. It is currently a size 6 3/4, but can be re-sized free of charge. The condition is excellent.

I love the message and my kids (3 and 5) find it credible and engaging, so it's a win all around. I find the illustrations (which are either done by a 5 year old or an adult as talented an artist as I am) painful but I give the text 6 out of 5 stars so when I take a star off for the over-the-top illustrations we're still at 5/5 ;) Kids who have greater access to exclusively modern media with intense graphics may not be able to relate to the material: the graphics are a big hurdle and the text is pretty dated too. I'm sure an updated version would be even more engaging for my kids but what it lacks in exciting, current graphics it makes up for in specificity and clarity for my two.
