Supertech valves are the best on the market, made from one piece of forged stainless steel for the ultimate in strength and durability. Supertech valves go through a special heat treatment process that obtains the right amount of harness for each engine to ensure the ultimate valve for your performance motor. Supertech offers their valves in either chrome coating, used in high performance valves, or hardened black nitrided which is most popular in European and Japanese motors.
Supertech High Performance Race Engine Valves features:
- The microhardness is higher than the stainless steel base material, keeping good ductility beneath the hard nitrided layer (microhardness is 800HV minimum)
- Surface finish is smoother than with chromed stems, having less friction between stem and guide.
- Valve seat surface is harder with the nitrided layer, lasting longer with lead free fuels, alcohols, nitro or other "explosive" mixes. Matches any kind of seats (nodular iron seats, steel powder metal seats, hard aluminum-copper seats or beryllium copper seats).
- Higher rpm's engines take full advantage of all previous features. The higher the engine speed the bigger the power loss due to internal engine friction! The black nitride layer reduces this power loss due to less valve-guide friction.
- The nitrided layer is adhered to the base material at a microscopic level, so does not"flake" or brake when the valves bend due to impacts with the pistons.
- The Black Nitride applies to the whole valve while the chrome coating is only applied to the stem.

a good choice

Assembled chair only to find that the lift cylinder was faulty. Would have preferred to be able to just get a replacement cylinder but calling China didn't seem like a viable option. Guessing which one & buying it online would involve paying for a good portion of what the chair cost. Customer service could only offer a replacement or refund. We're disassembling (so much fun?!) to send it back. The chair itself was very comfortable, assembled fairly easily and instructions pretty clear. Again, if we could only have asked the seller for the replacement part......**Update**...Or if the instructions that seemed so clear were clearer!, as we started to disassemble, we decided to see what would happen if the tension knob (see photo) was loosened. IT ALLOWED THE LIFT CYLINDER TO WORK. Not at all what the instructions say. At any rate, we're keeping the chair.

Great Chair! Worth the Price!

LOVE my new desk chair! I got the Sky Blue which is a really pretty blue in person. I work from home in tech, and had been getting constant headaches no matter what position I was in. I finally decided to invest in a better desk chair, and I'm SO glad I did! It's much more supportive and comfortable. I really like that I can flip the arms up or down, and the height is easy to adjust. Also, because I can flip the arms up, I can keep the chair out of the way when I'm not working by putting it right up against the desk. Very much worth the price! Assembly was simply and quick. Not even 30 minutes. Also, when I had a question about the chair, their support team was quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommend!
