In addition to the undersaddle pickup, the system supplies a multi-position cardioid condenser mic capsule to capture more of your instrument's air and presence. The preamp offers both transparent tone and a dynamic response to each string. This is the narrow version, which accommodates instruments with a string spacing of 2.3mm.

The enclosure for the volume and tone controls has been redesigned for ergonomics, and now offers a scooped Tone control to cut the midrange while boosting highs and lows. A voicing switch helps the system accommodate all sorts of shapes and sizes, including nylon and 12-stringed instruments, and accoustic basses. Depending on the choice of cable you use, you can achieve either mono or stereo output routing.

A low-battery indicator on the Blend control lets you know when it's time to chage batteries. All hardware is provided for installation, though it is recommended that you have the preamp and pickup professionally installed. A separately available 9V battery is required to power the system.
