Vinyl LP pressing. 2011 release, the third album from this band featuring former Briefs members Steve E. Nix and Stevie Kicks. On Adventure Time, the band continue to navigate the same territory pioneered by bands like Buzzcocks, the Beat, the Jam, and the Boys. In fact, in a huge nod from that generation, Duncan Reid of the Boys wrote the song "77" and gave it to the Lepers for this album. In addition to the usual Cute Lepers formula, there are also a number of new subtle adjustments including the best saxophone use in a punk song since the Saints' "Know Your Product" on opening track "Tribute to Charlie." the song itself is an ode to UK Subs front man Charlie Harper by name and a number of other die-hards in spirit. Like the last two LP's this record is an undeniable ear worm.

Beautiful and Spirit-filled book of prayers!

I am not a parent, but I have loved following Kayla Craig’s Instagram account, @liturgiesforparents. She is a gifted writer and manages to convey complex emotions into simple prayers.
There are prayers for life events, everyday occurrences, and, my favorite part, breath prayers.
I especially liked the Scriptural basis for the breath prayers.
As a pastor, I would not hesitate to hand this book to a family in my congregation. In fact, I may impress many copies upon families.
I also read these prayers through the lens as someone who doesn’t have my own children. Most of the prayers are written for parents and from that perspective, but many could be edited to be used as prayers for children who are not your own.
My only critique is that some of the prayers felt a little too long. And I would have liked more prayers that kids could say too.
I received an advance copy after pre-ordering the book and agreeing to share my thoughts.

I think I’ve purchased six copies.

It’s just that good. I purchased this book for myself and was so blessed by it that I began buying it for the other moms in my life that I love so much! I have paced the floors of my home while my children are at school and husband at work, praying these prayers over my family. I have read these prayers through tears, joyful and sorrowful. Of all the books that line the shelves in my home, this is the one I reach for most often. It gives me words when I don’t have them, and is a pull to draw close to God as I parent my children and care for my family. I cannot recommend it enough!!

My go to for support and encouragement (for myself and others)

In this season of life (specifically with littles) it is hard to form the words, find the space, and have the energy to pray. I have found myself borrowing the words of others who so beautifully articulate how I am thinking and feeling (specifically Kayla and this book!).
This book has also been a go-to when looking for encouragement for other moms as well. I appreciate the specific prayers and liturgies for big events we all go through (first day of pre school for example) and have sent prayers to other mamas as a way to comfort, encourage, and let them know they aren't alone. Thank you Kayla for your Spirit led words that I can borrow and meditate on and use to help shine light in this world. You are a gift!

Works Like A Charm

Functions as advertised! Sturdy. Stays in place when removing towels. Allows one towel to easily tear from the holder instead of several. Holds large roll. Didn’t have to put anything together. Looks great. Best paper towel holder we’ve owned.
