David Quammen's book, The Song of the Dodo, is a brilliant, stirring work, breathtaking in its scope, far-reaching in its message -- a crucial book in precarious times, which radically alters the way in which we understand the natural world and our place in that world. It's also a book full of entertainment and wonders. In The Song of the Dodo, we follow Quammen's keen intellect through the ideas, theories, and experiments of prominent naturalists of the last two centuries. We trail after him as he travels the world, tracking the subject of island biogeography, which encompasses nothing less than the study of the origin and extinction of all species. Why is this island idea so important? Because islands are where species most commonly go extinct -- and because, as Quammen points out, we live in an age when all of Earth's landscapes are being chopped into island-like fragments by human activity.
Through his eyes, we glimpse the nature of evolution and extinction, and in so doing come to understand the monumental diversity of our planet, and the importance of preserving its wild landscapes, animals, and plants. We also meet some fascinating human characters. By the book's end we are wiser, and more deeply concerned, but Quammen leaves us with a message of excitement and hope.

Smells awful
Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This smells awful. Like dead roses. I find it does make skin smoother however it does leave a sticky residue that lasts.

Dove retinol
Size: 8 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This retinol is super good. It’s moisturizing and leaves my skin glowing all day. The price for it isn’t bad either.

Amazing facial sunscreen
Color: Tinted
The tinted Anthelios is my go to sunscreen for summer. The problem with most facial sunscreens is that they feel like a heavy cream and they leave a ghastly whitish color. Anthelios is different. It is light, easy to apply, and dries quickly to a soft matte finish. There is no white cast, no discernible “sunscreen odor”. It softens facial imperfections without the weigh down of makeup. Anthelios doesn’t clog your pores or settle into lines. It just leaves a natural fresh look. My skin but bettter. I’ve purchased it multiple times and will continue to use Anthelios. Buy it - you won’t be disappointed by this one.

Lightweight, Flawless Coverage & Reliable Sun Protection A Daily Must-Have!
Color: Tinted
I’ve been using this sunscreen for a few weeks now, and overall I’m very impressed. The texture is extremely lightweight and fluid, which makes it easy to apply evenly without feeling or greasy on the skin. It absorbs quickly and leaves a soft, matte finish that works well under makeup.

My favorite Sunscreen
Color: Tinted, Color: Tinted
I’ve been using La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra-Light Fluid Facial Sunscreen SPF 40 for a few years now, and it’s still one of my favorite daily sunscreens. The formula is truly lightweight and absorbs quickly without feeling greasy or heavy on the skin. It layers well under makeup and doesn’t leave a noticeable white cast, which I really appreciate.
I also like that it provides reliable sun protection while still feeling comfortable enough for everyday use. Even after trying other sunscreens over the years, I keep coming back to this one because it works so well for my skin. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lightweight, non-greasy daily sunscreen.
