The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre coated with an antibody specific to Human IL 6R. Samples (or Standards) and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) linked antibody specific for Human IL 6R are added to the micro ELISA plate wells. Human IL 6R in samples (or standards) combines with the coated antibody and HRP linked detection antibody special to Human IL 6R.

This IL-6R (Interleukin 6 Receptor) ELISA Kit uses the sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human IL-6R. Samples (or Standards) and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) linked antibody specific for Human IL-6R are added to the micro ELISA plate wells. Human IL-6R in samples (or standards) combines with the coated antibody and HRP linked detection antibody special to Human IL-6R.Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate. The substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human IL-6R. The concentration of Human IL-6R in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

So, I bought two pairs on sale....one in navy and the other in taupe. Both pairs have a streak mark on the same side, same exact area. I'm on the fence about returning them but I did get them on sale and if the mark doesn't come out in the wash, I can't really wear the in public unless I wear something long to cover the upper thigh area. They fit great and are very comfortable but then there is that unsightly mark. For reference, I am just under 5'0, 105 lbs and bought size small.
