Switches & Stereo to Mono ConverterThe GS-SW002A is a simple mains or external DC powered 1RU subrack. It has a wide range 100 -240 VAC (+/-10%) AC input and also a +12V DC input. A bright blue LED on the front panel indicates that the unit is powered on and working.
It houses 8 off 2 way relays suitable for passing brodcast analogue audio through. There are 2 sets of balanced audio inputs and 1 set of balanced audio outputs per relay.
The relay outputs are normally derived from 1 set of inputs. If an external GPI/ Loop is made then the outputs are derived from the other set of inputs.
Audio inputs are on 2 x D25 connectors (one for the normally opne relay contact and the other for the normally closed relay contacts) wired to the AES59 (Tascam) standard. Audio outputs are on a D25 connector.
In the event of a power failure the relay outputs are derived from the normally closed relay inputs.
There are 4 separate loop inputs that switch the relays. Each relay can be set (via an internal link) to operate from any one of these loop inputs. Front panel LEDs indicate when any of these loop inputs have been operated. A tally output is also provided from these loop indicating LEDs to allow external equipment such as studio lights to provide a larger visual cue of the state of the switches.
The unit has many uses such as switching feeds between 2 studios or transmitters.

No Good Guys Here!
Format: Paperback
The Crime Syndicate are my favorite DC villains. However, I'm happy when their Justice League counterparts defeat them. I should have known this wouldn't be the case with their own title. It's interesting how the stories can still engage the reader knowing that the CS won't be sent back to their home base with their tails between their legs. All in all a very good read.

Crime Syndicate is an addictive pleasure!

Alternate realities have always been my favorite science fiction staple, and Crime Syndicate is no ption. My favorite character is Atomica because of how easily she gets things done when everyone else overlooks her. I'll definitely read more stories from writer Andy Schmidt.

I really wanted to be hopeful about this.

First off, I’ve been a DC multiverse fan for a very long time. And the concept of Earth-3 was always a fun idea. I enjoyed so many of the characters over the years. This had so much potential. But some of the designs are so clunky, and there’s nowhere near as much characterization as their predecessors had. Power Ring is the only one that feels an improvement. But the rest just didn’t thrill me (Atomica being one of the few that wasn’t tedious).
I know the writers always just can’t help themselves and have to rewrite the origins again and again. But the story could have been so much better.

I really enjoyed this reboot of the Crime Syndicate. It manages to feel new while still staying true to the existing stories. Never read anything by either creator, but I loved it. This should be an ongoing series.
