Chickens: Safe-Guard® AquaSol is used to treat and control adult Ascaridia galli in broiler and replacement chickens. It is also effective against adult A. galli and Heterakis gallinarum in breeding chickens and laying hens.
Swine: Safe-Guard® AquaSol is approved for use in swine, excluding nursing piglets, for the treatment and control of various parasitic infections, including:
- Lungworms: Metastrongylus apri, Metastrongylus pudendotectus (adult stages).

Gastrointestinal worms:
- Large roundworms (Ascaris suum): adult and larval stages (L3, L4) affecting the liver, lungs, and intestines.
- Nodular worms (Oesophagostomum dentatum, O. quadrispinulatum): adult stages.
- Small stomach worms (Hyostrongylus rubidus): adult stages.
- Whipworms (Trichuris suis): adult and larval stages (L2, L3, L4) in the intestinal mucosa.
- Kidney worms: Stephanurus dentatus (adult and larval stages)
Chickens: Administer Safe-Guard® AquaSol orally through drinking water at a daily dose of 1 mg/kg body weight (0.454 mg/lb) for 5 consecutive days.
Swine: Administer Safe-Guard® AquaSol orally through drinking water at a daily dose of 2.2 mg/kg body weight (1 mg/lb) for 3 consecutive days.
