Vintage 18ct Yellow Gold Garnet and Diamond Ring, Hallmarked London 1984An attractive vintage dress ring made in the 1980's in the traditional "boat shape" with a pierced gallery, set with three garnets and surrounded by small single cut diamonds, crafted in 18ct yellow gold with British hallmarks. Hallmarked as 18ct gold, dated London 1984. Maker's mark "MSJ". The width of the face of the ring measures approximately 8. 6mm (at the central widest point). The approximate weight is 2. 2 grams. Hallmarked as 18ct gold, dated London 1984.
Maker's mark "MSJ".

The width of the face of the ring measures approximately 8.6mm (at the central widest point).

The history offers a detailed and well organized account of the Royal Navy as it transitioned from sail to steam. Coverage included personalities, technology, tactics and strategy. I look forward to the final volume, which should describe another watershed era.

It is still excellent and authoritative, just different than I expected. I really appreciate a somewhat different perspective than I have found in some other books. For example, any discussion of Jackie Fisher I have read previously seemed to border on the hagiographic, whereas here he seems to get a very evenhanded appraisal. A great book, highly recommended.
