The volume is intended to replace the provisional English translation of the Proprium Ordinis Praedicatorum: Liturgia Horarum (1983) published in 1991 and long out of print.
It uses the new translation of the propers prepared by friars of the Eastern Province, as well as sections of the Latin Proprium that were omitted in that edition, in particular the Night Office (Compline), and references to Gregorian music suitable for use. Saints included in the Order's General Calendar since 1991 have been added at their proper places as well as the omitted biblical readings.
This version is full-sized (6 x 9 inches) and suitable for use by readers and cantors in choir.
