Bangs is long dead, and the man-machine is thriving. As proof of this, one need look no further than the new Tarp LP, Part. Trapped inside it's insanely lovely cover art (courtesy of Greta Svalberg), one finds the two hulking man-machines (Conrad Capistran and Joshua Burkett) attempting to figure out if it's okay for robots to hug each other in public. Right in the center of the highway, even. Heard in the most boorish way, the music on Part is all the work of unemotional man-machines (to use Bangs's moldy fig of a term). 'Anybody could play this stuff,' Chuck Berry fans will pout. But that's both untrue and beside the point. I mean a goddamn giraffe can play 'Johnny B. Goode' given a 30 minute head start. Music as subtle and fully communicative as the music on Part is a heavy conceptual lift. It occurs only after a lot of thought, a massive amount of jacking around, and about a ton of boo. One needs to be a committed freak to pull off such an elegant space-hack as this. But, of course Conrad and Joshua are lifers not dilettantes. Tarp is what they do. And no one could do it better. Their previous eponymous LPs (FTR 117, FTR 323) have been dandy, but Part is a real push into new areas of the void that amplify the duo's kosmiche wing beats. You can hear little pieces of the millions of records these guys have heard poking up now and then, but the way these elements are collaged into the whole is absolutely unique, absolutely Tarp. This toy won my dogs hearts.

I bought the monkey and elephant for my 2 large dogs. When opening the box from amazon, one of my dogs grabbed the monkey right out of my hand and took off with it. My other big brute was not to be left out, he grabbed the elephant and went the other way. They haven’t parted with either toy since. These were able to hold up to the rough play these two knuckleheads can get going. The rope is perfect for them to hang on to. The head of the toy does have filling, although not too much. The squeaky is buried inside the stuffing. One dog did manage to rip into the head trying to get to the squeaky part. I just took out the rest of the stuffing and squeaky and this toy is still his favorite. It’s a minor inconvenience to pick up the stuffing but worth it to see him this happy. I’d recommend keeping an eye on your pet when they first receive the toy. Then you’ll be able to see if they’re able to pull it apart. It took my big dogs a bit of time to get to it, but one is a mastiff, and the other is a Shepard/husky mix. Those breeds tend to tear every toy apart with time.

Unsafe product falls apart in chunks, choking hazard

I bought these toys for my small 11 pound dog
The product fell apart within a couple hours both this is it’s not meant for the description as a durable toy. It comes up in chunks and can cause choking. I returned the toys to make a point that I’m not gonna buy a product that can hold my pet and it’s unsafe for the advertise use.

Cute toy for small dogs

The toys are cute and well priced. The rope is sturdy but the fabric areas are easily ripped. I had to throw them out after my 5 mo puppy Boston terrier ripped it with 15 minutes… oh well!
