Comprehensive Hardware Integration

The Main PCB houses the essential processing components that handle high-bandwidth video data. It is responsible for the seamless conversion of incoming SDI and HDMI signals into high-quality ProRes or DNxHR recording formats. This board controls everything from the touchscreen interface logic to the high-speed processing required for real-time scopes, focus peaking, and 3D LUT overlays.

Connectivity and Ports

Because the ports on the Video Assist 4K are soldered directly to the Main PCB for maximum signal integrity, replacing this board also provides a fresh set of inputs and outputs. This is often the most effective fix for units with physically damaged or "loose" connectors. The board includes:

  • 6G-SDI Inputs/Outputs: For professional-grade monitoring and recording up to 2160p30.

It also contains the power management circuitry that switches between the dual LP-E6 battery slots and the 12V DC barrel input, ensuring the device remains stable during critical recording takes.
