Imagine there is a seven-headed rhythmic beast with a percussionist, drummer, bassist, keyboardist, two horn players, and a DJ up on the stage embracing the musical totality of the world without any folklore kitsch, it's subtlety and urban club grooves crossing various genre-divisions. That beast is Feindrehstar. This unique band, based in Jena, Germany, has long been known for it's ability to capture that live energy in studio recordings. Feindrehstar now present their second album, Love & Hoppiness, following their 2010 debut album Vulgarian Knights (MKR 004CD/LP). A lot has happened in the meantime: countless club and festival gigs, an inspiring African tour, and countless hours spent working in the studio. Love & Hoppiness matured over three years; the first recordings developed in the fall of 2012 with Michel Baumann (Soulphiction, Jackmate) and Nik Reiff in Stuttgart. Further overdubs with trombone, cello, guitar, and vocals followed at various home studios and conservatories. That's right - vocals have been introduced to this otherwise instrumental band. Owing to these vocal tracks with Dave Aju, Ebo Taylor, and Tina Keserovic, Feindrehstar's sound continues to develop. Jazz, soul, and funk vibes shine through on tracks like Antelope, a track featuring the vocals and guitar of legendary Ghanaian musician Ebo Taylor. It was clear right from the start that everything clicked with Dave Aju; the smooth, soul-soaked hip hop of From Bob to Stevie is a standout track. Feindrehstar call their music krautclub, and the reason for this becomes clear on Caje Sukarije, with a classic Balkan funk sound taken over by wild synthesizer loops fused together in a haze of electro-funk. It is in fact a Roma anthem sung by Keserovic. The completely acoustic ballad Love & Hoppiness Int. Anchors the album in a captivating calm with cello and clarinet. Despite the many new directions, the genre-defying yet danceable club sound of Feindrehstar remains. Love & Hoppiness, Deep Horse, Shake That, and Night Rainer Diskodub show once again that after 15 years of rocking dance floors, Feindrehstar's energy hasn't diminished.

Love this frother. It is great quality and the turn speed is amazing. My only issue is this. It comes w 2 wands and they are both singles. The single is great for stirring things up. It does not make a lot of froth and for some things it’s perfect but sometimes I like a lot of froth and I wish it either came w a single and a double or you could purchase a double separately to intermix. I don’t want to buy a whole other unit just for the double. I wrote to them bc the double frother they sell doesn’t look as good as this one but sometimes a girl needs a lot of foam and sometimes th stirring is perfect.

Powerful!

This thing is powerful and works great! I was hesitant about some of the negative reviews, but this is worth it so far. I use it every day and haven't charged it in the week that I've had it. Some people complained about turning it off.... It's not that hard. Just hold the button down for a second or two and it shuts off, no fuss. If you tap/press the button you'll cycle through the next speed and then off. I only use the first speed to make my protein shake and matcha. I feel like the high speed would just whip everything to pure foam! I'm hoping this lasts me a long time.

Quiet and Effective frother/mixer and Terrific Customer Service
Zulay Kitchen Powerful Milk Frother Wand
We ordered two Zulay frother wands and after just several months of continuous usage one of the units stopped working and the other one was sporadically working, where sometimes it would run “full power” and at other times it was barely spinning or turning the beverage.
I called Zulay and gave them my Amazon order number. After the Customer Service rep walked me through some minor things to check on the units she was also convinced that the units were probably defective. She had a replacement sent from Zulay along with a mini as a bonus for our troubles! And she had Amazon ship the other replacement unit.
Both shipments arrived promptly within days and we have been using them for months now without any major issues. We use the units (the two “standard” wands) almost every day and they get used two to three times a day. They only take ten to twenty seconds to mix up cocoa powder, hot or cold. And the same goes for different protein powder shakes.
What I especially like about these units is that there have been many times when I have had to use them off-hours, like between 5:00 and 6:00 AM. They are Whisper quiet so nobody gets disturbed. One generally can’t do this level of quiet stirring/mixing with a kitchen hand blender/mixer or shake blenders. These Zulay mixing units have really come in “handy” for us.
We are very Grateful to Amazon for their prompt delivery, and especially to the Customer Service representative at Zulay for her help, and to Zulay for standing behind their products and providing us with terrific and prompt Customer Service! Thank you!
