As anyone who's tried to grow tomatoes knows, sometimes it takes a few attempts to achieve the perfect favour. On their new album, Canary in a Coal Mine, New Brunswick- based roots rock outft Tomato Tomato - led by Lisa and John McLaggan - have done just that, reaping the benefts of the seeds planted on their previous three releases.Although those records established Tomato Tomato (pronounce it however you choose!) as an award-winning songwriting partnership with a high-energy take on traditional sounds, they have truly progressed to the next level with Canary In A Coal Mine, made at Nashville studio The Bomb Shelter (Alabama Shakes, Margo Price) with producers Jon Estes and Andrija Tokic, along with some of Music City's fnest musicians.The result is a potent display of everything that's made Tomato Tomato one of the most beloved groups on the Canadian folk music scene, from John's inventive songwriting to Lisa's unforgettable Neko Case-esque vocals. However, with Canary In A Coal Mine, folkies are now going to have to share Tomato Tomato with the rest of the music world.Crackling spontaneity is certainly evident on the album's opener and frst single "Take It On The Road," as well as the stomping title track and "You Don't Know Anything," both instant roadhouse classics. The album's quieter moments are just as powerful, with "Kite Song" and "Nothing Left" bringing the duo's intimate connection to the fore. And for the musos, there's even a couple of covers of The Band's "Ophelia" that strips the song down to it's bluesy essence, and A-ha's "Take On Me," which unexpectedly drew admiration from the Norwegian stars after the McLaggans posted a live video that has since garnered 25,000 YouTube views.Canary In A Coal Mine is an important milestone on the McLaggans' journey, and a reminder that growing things organically-especially when it comes to tomatoes-is still the best approach.

Great Light but NOT USB CHARGEABLE
I bought this lamp for my bell tent, which has a center pole. It did exactly what I wanted it to do: provide light to my whole tent instead of depending on a lantern or flashlight. It snapped on easily and fit the pole perfectly. I wish it had a remote but I could have spent more and bought one with that functionality. The reason I took a star off is because it is advertised as being USB and even requires RECHARGABLE batteries. Since I'm not savvy on these things I paid extra for the batteries thinking the USB charges them in the device. NOPE. The USB is just for powering the light from an ac source (which is pointless for what I use it for).

I really didn't know I needed this until I got it! Easy and quick to recharge batteries (they do not come with rechargeable batteries). Put out enough light for an evening outside around the table

Love the Warm Glow!

This light is very easy to install and has 3 different lighting options. I love the warm white light it emits as opposed to a bright white light that could attract bugs at night. Perfect light for patio, deck, camping, golf cart, etc!

It feels cheap and works just okay
This product just feels like it was made on the bottom dollar. It is very cheaply made and the doors to the battery compartment are so fragile it feels like they may snap next time I have to change the batteries. There's absolutely no weather proofing so I wouldn't leave it outside in the rain or heat. That being said, it's fine. It stays put on our umbrella and puts out light, albeit not much light.

Functional and easy to install!
Color: Cool White
This umbrella light is super handy! It hinges open to allow installation around the umbrella pole, so you don’t have to remove umbrella from table to add the light. I like that it can be charged with included USB cord or can use regular batteries. The different light settings are also nice depending on how much light you need or want at the time. We’ll be using this quite often when sitting at the table by the pool this summer.
