Music from Ladakh recorded during the making of the film The Song Collector (2014) by director Erik Koto, with additional material recorded by Bill Kite in 1992. "Situated high in the Western Himalaya, Ladakh is one of the great cultural crossroads of Asia. For centuries, it sat at the hub of ancient trade routes that connected the Silk Road to India, Tibet, and Kashmir. Each year, once the winter snows had melted from the high passes surrounding Ladakh, it's markets would buzz with merchants from throughout central Asia. They brought spices, wool, salt, and silk. They also brought their instruments and their folks songs. Over time, these diverse musical influences laid the foundation of Ladakh's unique folk traditions. Folk music became central to the daily life of the Ladakhis with song serving as an essential form of communication, documentation, and entertainment. This collection of songs is intended to offer a sampling of the range of Ladakh's folk music. These songs also celebrate one of the great folk artists of Ladakh, Morup Namgyal. Morup is an avid preservationist and during his 30-year career working at Ladakh's only radio station (All India Radio, Leh) he recorded a vast archive of Ladakhi folk songs. This collection of over 1,000 recordings was unlike anything else in Ladakh and formed a crucial link to a dying folk tradition. Tragically, it burned to the ground in 2002 when a fire raged through the old wooden radio station building. The loss was devastating, but Morup immediately set about recreating the archive. Five of the songs on this album, recorded in 1992, are among the handful of tracks to have been spared by the fire. Today, Ladakh's marketplaces bear little resemblance to the buzzing markets of old. Gone are the camel trains and merchants, replaced instead by Indian trucks belching smoke. Seemingly vanished too are the folk musicians, pushed aside by the synthetic beats of the latest Bollywood hit. But the folk artists have not vanished entirely, and if you wander beyond the blare of the latest pop song, you'll discover a folk tradition that, thanks to the efforts of Morup Namgyal and others like him, is alive, evolving, and poised to endure the challenges of modernization." -Erik Koto. LP comes with a full-size insert containing historic photos, song lyrics, and liner notes by Erik Koto.

Easy to Use and Surprisingly Effective
Even though I am well past the age when I thought breakouts would stop happening, I still get the occasional pimple. As luck would have it, I felt one starting to pop up on my cheek the day after these Halo Dot Pimple Patches arrived.
Before bed, after washing and thoroughly drying my face, I applied one of the patches. It peeled easily from the backing sheet, and when I realized I had not placed it quite right, I was pleasantly surprised that I could lift and reposition it without any trouble.
What really impressed me was how well it blended into my skin. I was only wearing it overnight, but honestly, I do not think anyone would have noticed it unless they were looking very closely. In fact, I forgot I even had it on until I looked in the mirror the next morning.
The patch peeled off easily and had clearly pulled some of the buildup from the blemish overnight. There was no redness or irritation afterward, and the spot looked dramatically improved by morning.
The only downside for me is the price, especially since the package contains just 33 patches. That said, if they continue to work this well, I would definitely consider purchasing them again.

Love these already! Came in handy just when I need it!
These acne patches came in really handy when I had a random breakout near my lip, especially since that’s an area where I tend to wear a lot of makeup. They helped gently draw out impurities without being harsh on my skin.
I also like that they blend in well on the skin. They’re not tinted, but they still work nicely across different skin tones like advertised, which makes them less noticeable while wearing them.
You get a good amount in the package as well—33 patches total, with 18 patches on each sheet. Overall, they’re convenient to have on hand for unexpected breakouts, and I would definitely recommend them.

Doggo approved!
Puppy said, "Yes, please." She's a large breed and chews through some toys like nothing. It is May now, and this one is still standing strong. It doesn't have any pieces coming off, so it's quite hard and safe, nothing is coming off for her to eat. It is really resistant to chewing from a Great Pyrenees, and for the price you can't beat it, as it will last months.

Dog tested, dog approved
This is a large, heavy-duty bone. And a great one. My Pitt-mix is very tough on things and can destroy most chew toys in short order. This actually has held up very well to his best attempts. As shown in the picture, after a lot of use over several weeks the most that he's been able to do is to put some small bite marks in it. I'm impressed.
That's largely due to the material used. It's a dense, rubbery-type material that's resilient to biting/cutting/tearing. Very solid without being hard. Kind of along the same lines as that used for the popular Chuck-It toys if you're familiar with those (but heavier). I like this softer material better than the nylon bones which he loves but I'm afraid are going to crack a tooth at some point.
Has some scent to it but does not have a strong smell. Can't vouch for the flavor but he seems to enjoy it.
Again this is large and heavy toy. Probably a little too big/heavy for smaller dogs under say 40lbs or so. Some probably could do it but really better for the bigger dogs.
Given how long this one looks like it's going to last, I'd say that it's a very good value.
Bottom line - Dog likes it. I like it. Everybody's happy. Great bone. Buy it.

Flavor/Scent May Not Be Very Strong
My pup is picky about toys and the only ones that hold his interest are mostly the scented rubber toys from Playology, They’re great, but expensive, and I was really hoping this would be a cheaper alternative. It really looked like the kind of toy he likes. It’s heavy rubber with a softer texture than the hard toys out there, and it had a lot of surface grooves that lets him grip it with his teeth easily. I gave it to him and he was excited for all of 30 seconds, then he discarded it and hasn’t looked at it since. I suspect the flavor/scent may not be as strong but that’s just a guess. I don’t know if it’s a flaw in the toy or simply a picky pup, so I hesitate to rate this down for that. It does look like a really nice toy and if your dog isn’t a jerk like mine it may be great, and it’s definitely a good price.
