An interesting Arts and Crafts bobbin rocking chair in the style of furniture designer and architect Ernest Gimson (1864-1919, and one of the most influential designers of the English Arts and Crafts movement), after a traditional Lancashire design and similar to the one featured in the esteemed "100 British Chairs" by Adam Bowett.

In very good condition with a wonderful worn patina, with just the expected wear and tear - see photos for details. The rush seat is in good order too.

I've left it untouched as that's how trade buyers tend to like pieces, but I'm more than happy to give it a wax polish for you before delivery.

See through and jacket has no structure

On the positive side, it does appear to be well made. The stitching is clean, the fit is decent, and overall construction seems solid for the price. However, the material is extremely thin much thinner than expected. It’s so lightweight that it is see-through. Both the jacket and pants are unlined, which makes the suit feel even lighter and less structured. I While I understand seersucker is meant to be breathable and comfortable this isnt even seersucker it is a striped polyester blend material. It may work in very hot climates but if you’re looking for something with more structure or durability, this is not the best option. The fabric feels about as thick as a paper towel. Overall, decent construction, but the thinness and lack of a defined shape and lining are disappointing and makes it almost impossible to wear.
