The action mechanism of F10 is based on the individual effects of each component, along with the additional synergistic effects that arise when all components work together. At the concentrations present in this product, F10 has been shown to achieve a > logs reduction in microbial counts against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria; fungi, yeasts, and molds; enveloped and non-enveloped viruses; as well as bacterial and fungal spores. While the group of keratinophilic fungi is extensive, only two genera, recognized as dermatophytes, are known to cause “ringworm” diseases in animals.INSECTICIDAL ACTIONThe insecticidal properties are derived from cypermethrin (a type of pyrethroid) and are enhanced by piperonyl butoxide. During testing, the species used for evaluation was Lucilia cuprina, a common blow fly. Upon spraying the larvae, they immediately began to move away from the treated area and were dead within 30 minutes. Tests on L. cuprina eggs showed a 100% mortality rate. The product was equally effective against adult flies, achieving a 77% kill rate within 15 minutes, increasing to 100% in 30 minutes.
