Six Questions Your Sit Means Sit Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this franchise unit financial model using deep research into the unit economics of professional pet training. The assumptions for revenue streams like training packages and resident programs, along with expenses like the 9% royalty and $55,000 head trainer salary, are pre-populated and fully editable. This ensures your franchise unit investment and ROI analysis is grounded in real-world data from the start.

When doesthe unit start seeing real black ink?

The unit reaches profitability early in the first year, generating $93,000 in EBITDA by the end of Year 1. As revenue climbs from $450,000 to over $1 million by Year 5, the net profit expands significantly as fixed costs like the $4,800 monthly rent are spread over a larger volume of training packages.

Profitability Drivers

  • Maximize resident package sales
  • Optimize trainer FTE ratios
  • Reduce training supply waste
[dynamic_pic9]

What is the totalcheck size and where does the money go?

Launching this unit in the US requires a total capital investment of approximately $191,400 for primary assets and fees. This includes the $59,900 initial franchise fee, $45,000 for leasehold improvements, and $22,000 for specialized training equipment, ensuring the facility meets brand standards from day one.

Primary Capital Uses

  • $59,900 Franchise Fee
  • $45,000 Leasehold Improvements
  • $22,000 Training Equipment
  • $18,000 Kennel Setup

What is the bottom-linereturn for an owner?

Investors can expect a 3-year payback period on their initial capital outlay. The model shows an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 5.38% and a Return on Equity (ROE) of 1.03, reflecting a steady climb in value as the unit matures and scales its high-margin support memberships.

Key Investor Metrics

  • 3-Year Payback Period
  • 5.38% Internal Rate of Return
  • 1.03 Return on Equity
[dynamic_pic11]

How much volumeis needed to stop bleeding cash?

The unit hits its monthly break-even point in April 2026, just four months after the initial launch. The primary lever for reaching this point is the volume of premium training packages, which are projected to bring in $220,000 in the first partial year of operation.

Speed to Breakeven

  • High-ticket package focus
  • Aggressive local marketing
  • Tight labor scheduling
[dynamic_pic12]

When is the bankaccount at its thinnest?

The lowest cash point occurs in May 2026, with a minimum cash balance of $1,048,000 (including initial funding). This suggests a strong liquidity position, but maintaining a buffer is still recommended to handle the timing of the $15,000 mobile training vehicle purchase and other pre-opening costs.

Cash Flow Protection

  • Phase kennel area setup
  • Delay admin hiring
  • Manage equipment inventory
[dynamic_pic13]

How do differentmarket conditions impact the numbers?

In a high-growth scenario, Year 5 revenue can exceed $1.07 million, significantly boosting the EBITDA margin to nearly 40%. Conversely, a low-growth scenario would delay the 3-year payback period and increase the pressure on managing the $147,000 annual trainer payroll during the ramp-up phase.

Success Levers

  • High client retention
  • Effective B2B partnerships
  • Trainer productivity levels

Genuinely bummed that these great balls can’t stand up against my Chloè.
Size: Medium
I love all the Chuckit brand of balls. I found that the Strabo and glow balls in the Chuckit line are the softest, and as such, don't last as long as the rest of Chuckit line of balls. Having said that, they do last longer than than every other brand I've tried (and I do believe I’ve tried every brand available on the market today.) The strato balls do bounce higher than any of the other balls in the Chuckit line. They really are a good value.

Great dog balls at a great price
Size: Medium
The balls are a favorite for my dog. I could have done without the hole through the middle because I don't do treats in balls anyway. My dog loves balls for their own merit. I needed replacement balls for my Nerf Dog Ball launcher. It seems the originals have disappeared from the market. I took a chance because the price is right and this Chuck-it ball works very well so we're liking this ball a lot. So far my Dachsund, who can destroy a tennis ball (the kind they are selling as Nerf Dog replacements) in 3 minutes has not done any damage to this one so that's a win. I recommend this as a much better ball than the fuzzy tennis balls. I like the colors too since many dog toys are green (which gets lost in the lawn, etc.) or red (even though dogs have red/green color blindness. Blue and orange are good and pretty easy to find. I liked these well enough that this set was my second purchase so I will have spares in case the others are lost.

My Baby loves his new baby!
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
Finally! A ball my 107 lb. pitty/pointer mix can’t destroy. He has torn up every single “indestructible” toy in a day or so until now. He peels fabric and fur off non-rubber toys. He is a 4-legged shredder. I’ve added pictures of him for a size reference of my dog versus this product. I know I had wanted that when shopping for this item. This ball is now his beloved “baby.” He goes absolutely insane looking for it, chewing it, chasing it, and even sleeping with it. He won’t rest unless he knows exactly where it is. It is his only toy, and he is good with that. After getting this home, I tried giving him other choices, but he won’t touch them. I was worried that he would rip it apart by putting his teeth in the holes, but so far, not a scratch. It is soft enough to collapse just enough to keep it from cracking when his jaws crush it but not so soft that he can rip it to sheds. The holes are large enough to prevent a suction or vacuum effect on his tongue or mouth. For his size jaws, it is a perfect fit. Other dogs might have problems with suction or be able to get their teeth in those holes and rip it apart. Who knows? The older version of the Chuckit squeaky ball was his favorite for the year and a half he had it, but the way they make them now, he peels off the orange triangle in hours flat, the squeaker falls out (choking hazard), and then he rips it apart. I’m going to stock up on these. I can’t imagine how crazy he will be if they ever stop production or change the materials.

Great durable ball
One of my dog’s favorite toy. We have had this ball for almost a year and it is still intact. My Doberman loves it and has not been able to destroy it. The size is comparable to s tenis ball. It has a little weight to it witch makes it easy to trow further.

Best toy I’ve ever gotten for my dog
The toy allows you to interact with your dog in a way that I didn’t realize was so important until I adopted a dog who was ball obsessed and a bit disconnected. We have bonded so much over this toy and it has held up so much better than 95% of the toys I’ve gotten, which have all been labeled as high-quality or durable. It is perfect for playing fetch and for tugging, as well as training. The only thing worth noting is that the rope is thin enough that it can be uncomfortable to tug with a large or strong dog. I usually wrap a leash around my hip and hook it to the rope when we are doing intense tugging (because my 75 pound dog would win otherwise). If you do go for a tug toy that has a more comfortable handle, it will not bounce and be easy for a dog to run around with in the same way. This rope makes the weight heavily in favor of the ball, so it acts more like a ball and the dog is more inclined to grab the ball. I think this toy finds right balance of ball to rope.
