The main skull beads are carved from natural yak horn. Yak horn is a dense, oil rich organic material traditionally used in Tibetan craftsmanship. Because it is a natural material, each bead may show internal grain lines, subtle fiber patterns, tone variations, or slight translucency. These characteristics are inherent to genuine horn and are not considered defects. With regular wear, yak horn gradually deepens in color and develops a smooth natural sheen unique to the wearer.
The bracelet is available in three variations.
The first variation features evenly carved kapala beads with minimal spacing, separated by small yak bone spacer beads. This style emphasizes the raw texture of the horn and highlights the sculpted details of each skull.
The second variation follows a traditional rope mala inspiration. The yak horn skull beads are spaced with yak bone separators, allowing each carving to stand out more clearly. It is finished with a hand braided cord and tassel detail.
In the third variation, the central guru bead features Citipati, carved from cypress pine wood. Cypress has long been valued in Tibetan ritual objects for its warm tone and aromatic quality. The wood is lightweight yet durable, and its natural grain gives each carving a distinct character.
These pieces are strung on double reinforced elastic cords for strength and flexibility, making them suitable for daily wear while maintaining durability. The bracelets are made in one bold size with beads measuring approximately 20mm, giving them a substantial and powerful presence on the wrist. Due to the elastic construction, they comfortably fit most standard to larger wrist sizes.
These bracelets are created for those who appreciate traditional symbolism, natural materials, and craftsmanship rooted in Himalayan heritage.
