Product Overview

 

Monocrystalline graphene is a graphene material with a single crystal structure. Graphene itself is a two-dimensional material composed of a single layer of carbon atoms, while single-crystal graphene emphasizes the highly ordered arrangement of its atoms and the absence of defects, which gives it more excellent physical properties. There are a variety of preparation techniques for single crystal graphene, mainly including the following methods: vapor deposition (CVD), mechanical stripping, epitaxial growth method. This product is prepared by mechanical stripping, also known as the "tape stripping method", which was first proposed by Novoselov et al in 2004 when preparing single-layer graphene. This method uses the friction and relative motion between the tape and the block material to make the thin layer fall off from the block, and uses the adhesive force of the tape to overcome the weak van der Waals force between molecular layers, so as to realize the separation of layer from layer. This method has a low yield, but can obtain high purity single layer graphene. Graphene is separated from graphite by mechanical force and is suitable for laboratory research.
