When Commodore Matthew Perry sailed into Tokyo harbor in July 1853, opening Japan to the West, a century and a half of economic, cultural, and occasionally violent clashes between Americans and Japanese began. Walter LaFeber, one of America's leading historians, has written the first book to tell the entire story behind the disagreements, tensions, and skirmishes between Japan a compact, homogenous, closely knit society terrified of disorder and America a sprawling, open-ended society that fears economic depression and continually seeks an international marketplace. Using both American and Japanese sources, LaFeber provides the history behind the vicissitudes of rearming Japan, the present-day tensions in U.S.-Japan trade talks, Japan's continuing importance in financing America's huge deficit, and both nations' drive to develop China a shadow that has darkened American-Japanese relations from the beginning. "Broad and deeply researched. . . . The Clash is beautifully written, with clear arguments and no irrelevancies." Gaddis Smith, Boston Globe " This] work will easily become the best history of U.S.-Japanese relations in any language." Akira Iriye, professor of history, Harvard University " LaFeber] succeeds brilliantly. . . . W]ell-researched, meticulously sourced and highly readable." Works great, easy to assemble.
Size: 2 Tier-9.5''Wx10.5''Dx9.5''H
I bought this to try and contain our cabinet clutter. It works really well. Was easy to assemble.
I use it on the countertop instead of inside of the cabinets. Looks nice enough to sit out.
Will buy 1 more in the coming days.
The storage areas pull out, makes for easy access.

Awesome Spice Rack!
Size: 2 Tier-13.5''Wx10.5''Dx9.5''H
This works perfectly. I bought two as I have a lot of spices. Do need to remember that the height needed for unit is 9 inches, but with full size spice jars on top rack, you need at least 11 inches. Otherwise it works great. Smooth movement of the drawers. Very sturdy and stable.

A good value, works well.
Size: 1 Tier-8.5''Wx10.5''Dx2.5''H, Size: 1 Tier-8.5''Wx10.5''Dx2.5''H
It works great, and a good value for the price. Super easy to install, comes with a template (you probably wont need), screws and a screw driver. Easy peasy It will not affect the performance, but it is a little flimsy. Great service and price. Quality packaged as well.

Great quality product
Size: 2 Tier-5.5''Wx10.5''Dx9.5''H
The product quality is great. Assembly is needed but relatively easy. The moving shelves have a premium slide and catch at the end. I was impressed by this the most. The only potential small issue were the inside protectors it came with. Not that they're poor quality, they have a decent thickness. But during assembly they kept falling out easily because there wasn't enough catch on the shelf itself. In actual stationary use, this may not be an issue. But would have been better if the shelf held onto them more. You may not notice it when you put things on the shelf on top if it but they're also not a great color/texture match. Semi-opaque white plastic on a black metal rack; it cheapens the product. And in case you were wondering, magnets can stick to it. Overall though, I am pleased with the quality of this product.
